HDMI Matrix over Single Cat5e/6/7
A device to allow a HDMI source equipment to connect to multiple TVs with HDMI inputs over cost effective Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat7 cable. Consists of a matrix unit with built in transmitters and separate receivers connected via single Cat5e/6/7 cable. The splitter connects via HDMI Cable to the HDMI source equipment. The receivers connect via HDMI Cable to a TV with a HDMI input. Any TV can watch any of the sources in any combination. Most models can also carry an Infrared signal from the TV location back to the HDMI source location to enable control of source devices remotely. Some models can also extend an Ethernet network to the remote location and carry power so the remote receiver doesn’t require a separate power supply.
NB. HDBaseT Lite usually refers to devices that just carries the HDMI signal without the Network extender function.
